English: Character design class, “take an existing car that inspires you and turn it into a character, no futuristic designs”.

English: Yet another Character design class assignment: a bear on a tricycle or on an unicycle. I obviously made this one on a tricycle (did an other one on a unicycle, but haven’t scanned it yet…).
Français: Encore un exercice de Character Design: un ours sur un monocycle ou sur un tricycle. Évidemment celui-ci est sur un tricycle (j’en ai fait un sur un monocycle, mais je ne l’ai pas encore scanné…).
English: Here is a character that I created for my character design class. He is a 16 years old cabin boy on a pirate ship. He landed in this position by chance, but took a liking towards it. He is pretty cocky and stands up to anyone who try to bother him.
Français: Voici un personnage créé pour mon cours de Character Design. C’est un mousse de 16 ans sur un bateau pirate. Il est arrivé à ce poste par hasard, mais a fini par l’apprécier. Il est très fier et ne se laisse pas marcher dessus, même par les plus gradés de l’équipage.
English: Here’s another document study i did in school. The reference picture is a stock photography from Nicole Marsh. I spent around 27 hours on this painting. It was done on photoshop cs5. I’ll make a short process video that i’ll post soon.

English: Here’s finally the scan of my extraterrestrial musician. Painted in gouache.
Français: Voici, enfin, le scan de mon musicien extraterrestre. Réalisé à la gouache.
English: A friend at school (Nibe Mbumba) is asking each student to draw something in a sketchbook he bought, so i had to do something too… Here is what i did… The sketch was done with a hb pencil, then i went with a black ink pen, then a cool gray marker, a darker gray marker, a black brush marker, watercolor and a wide red paint marker. The character’s position was referenced from a study by Olly Lawson.
Français: Un camarade d’école, (Nibe Mbumba), demande à tous les étudiants de dessiner quelque chose dans un carnet qu’il a acheté, j’y suis donc aussi passé… Voici mon méfait… Esquisse au crayon, puis trait au stylo noir, ombres avec des feutres-pinceaux en niveaux de gris puis aquarelle pour le bleu et Posca pour le rouge. La position du personnage provient d’une étude réalisée par Olly Lawson.
For this work we have to invent an extra-terrestrial being that is part of some kind of band.
A part of the job is to have an alien with his musical instrument and the other part was some kind of a contest.
We had to design the clothing for the orchestra. So here are my propositions.
